HAS A DREAM:
TO FEED BILLIONS OF PEOPLE SUFFERING FROM CHRONIC HUNGER.
An environmental scientist and
professor at the School of Global Policy
and Strategy, Jennifer Burney has made
it her mission to tackle two of the world’s
biggest challenges: world hunger and
global climate change. A physicist by
training, Jennifer finds ways to increase
the supply of food in places like Brazil
and West Africa, all while preserving
the natural habitat.
“If my work can make even
the tiniest difference, that’s
tremendous,” she says.
Having enough food to eat should be
a reality, not a dream. By funding
life-changing UC San Diego research
like Jennifer’s, your gifts can bring
hope to people everywhere.
